How to find us

An important part of planning your visit to Polytech Montpellier - whether it is just for a few days or for a couple of years - is arranging your trip, and once you are here, getting around Montpellier. If you have never visited France before, here is some useful information about the transport system.


1. Getting around France

2. Getting to and from POLYTECH Montpellier

  • By train

You can travel by high-speed train from many destinations in Europe to Montpellier St Roch station.
There are often special offers available on the French Railways (SNCF) Internet site.
You can also link up with the Eurostar train either in Paris or Lille. 

On arrival at Montpellier St Roch station, leave the station on the ground floor, and the tramway stop “Gare St Roch” is opposite you, in the direction of “Mosson.”

  • Take the tramway at "Gare St Roch" towards Mosson

  • Get off at Université des Sciences et des Lettres" stop (journey time : 20 minutes.).

  • Trams run approximately every 6 minutes in the daytime.

  • From the « Université des Sciences et des lettres » tram stop to Polytech Montpellier.

  • By bus or coach

If you are planning to travel to Montpellier by bus or coach, you can contact Eurolines. The bus stops near the main train station.

  • By car

Montpellier has an International Airport, with destinations both in and outside Europe.
Low-cost airlines such as Ryanair and Easyjet fly here.

You have to know that the number of students in Montpellier gets bigger every year, so you have to take care of it as soon as you can.

There is, however, all types of accommodation on offer to suit all budgets. There are university Halls of Residence which are in general the cheapest:


Exchange student

As an Exchange student, you can apply for a place in a student hall of residence. DO NOT APPLY ALONE. We coordinate all exchange student room allocations. By e-mail, you will receive your login and password to book your room online.
